Support the Friends
Love art? Love Noosa? Come and be part of it.
Friends of Noosa Regional Gallery is a group of art lovers, artists and locals who help keep the Gallery full of life. We’re the people pouring drinks at exhibition openings, planning special events, and cheering on local artists, both established and emerging. And we’d love you to join us.
You don’t need to be an artist to be a Friend. If you enjoy art and want to be part of the creative community in Noosa and the wider Sunshine Coast, there’s a place for you here.
What the Friends do
Friends Noosa Regional Gallery is an independent, incorporated association run by an elected volunteer committee. We support the Gallery’s annual program and help more people discover and enjoy the visual arts.
Here’s what that looks like:
-
Hosting exhibition openings - we look after the Gallery’s opening events and help make every one a great night
-
Supporting ArtPlay Sunday - free art activities for kids, held at the Gallery on the third Sunday of every month
-
Art outings - bus trips to exhibitions and artists’ studios
-
Backing local artists - we promote and create opportunities for established and emerging local artists
-
Contributing towards Gallery projects such as the biennale Floating Land Australia’s premiere art in the environment event, taking in sites across Noosa.

Join the committee
Want to help shape what the Friends do next? Our committee plans and organises events, fundraising and membership, and we’re always keen to welcome new faces and fresh ideas.
We’d especially love to hear from people with marketing or social media skills. If you know your way around Instagram, Facebook or an email newsletter, you could make a big difference in helping more people find the Gallery.
Get in touch for a chat, with no obligation. We’ll tell you more about it.
2
Volunteer
If you enjoy meeting new people and a bit of buzz, volunteering is for you. Our volunteers help out at exhibition openings and special events, from welcoming guests to helping with catering and the bar.
It’s a great way to meet other art lovers, catch the latest exhibitions and have fun while giving back to the Gallery. Just bring a friendly smile and a sociable spirit.
There’s more than one way to be a Friend. Pick what suits you, or try all three.
